Several factors can cause dehydration, but at any time a person may experience excessive loss of body fluids due to an illness, being very difficult to stay hydrated. The most common bodily functions that usually cause fluid and electrolyte losses are diarrhea and vomiting, because they come suddenly and severely.

In cases of dehydration the first-line treatment indicated by the world organizations is the low osmolarity Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS), because allows to treat uncomplicated cases of dehydration at home in a practical, simple and effective way.

Indications

iDrata® ORS is a low osmolarity ORAL REHYDRATION SOLUTION (ORS), based on water, glucose and electrolytes, which is indicated for situations of water and mineral loss caused by diarrhea, vomiting or excessive sweating, whose composition is according to the WHO and ESPGHAN recommendations.

iDrata® ORS is an easy-to-administer product and can be used by children and adults of any age.

Presentation

iDrata® ORS package of 500ml with 8 sachets of 62.5ml in Orange, Lemon and Strawberry flavors.

Ingredients

Glucose;
Sodium citrate;
Sodium chloride;
Potassium chloride;
Flavor (limón, fresa, naranja).

How to use

Cut the sachet, take it directly to the mouth and consume the product in small amounts every 2-3 minutes. In the Hydration Phase (first 4 hours) should be taken one sachet every hour. In the Maintenance Phase, should be taken one sachet after each episode of diarrhea. During the first day of hydration, infants and children should take a minimum of 250 ml. (4 sachets). This product may be taken with a maximum of 8 sachets per day. Ready to consume at room temperature, although it can be consumed cold or frozen. Once opened should be kept in the refrigerator in the original package and used within 24 hours
